Sumo Fantasy ("we", "our", "us") operates the Sumo Fantasy mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address — used for account creation and authentication
- Display name and username — chosen by you for identification within the App
App Usage Data
- Fantasy team selections, league memberships, and scores
- App interaction data (screens viewed, features used)
Device Information
- Device type and operating system version (collected automatically by Firebase)
- Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging token, stored only if you enable notifications)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To provide the fantasy sumo game experience (teams, leagues, leaderboards)
- To send push notifications about tournament results, wrestler withdrawals, and score updates (only if you opt in)
- To display leaderboards and league standings
- To improve the App and fix bugs
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using the following services:
- Supabase (PostgreSQL database) — account information, teams, scores, and game data. Supabase uses encryption at rest and in transit. Hosted in the United States.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notification delivery tokens. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- AsyncStorage (on-device) — session tokens stored locally on your device for authentication persistence.

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared only:
- With other users in a limited way: your display name, username, and scores are visible on leaderboards and in leagues you join
- With our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Firebase) as necessary to operate the App
- If required by law or legal process
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the App's Profile screen, all your data (profile, teams, league memberships, scores) is permanently deleted from our servers.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — visible through the App's Profile and team screens
- Update your display name through the Profile screen
- Delete your account and all associated data through the Profile screen
- Opt out of push notifications through the Profile screen or device settings
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
